1) What strategy or strategies did you use to help you read and comprehend the articles?
2) Did you feel that the strategy or strategies you used were effective in helping prepare you for the in-class discussion?
3) What would you do different next time, if anything?

1) I prefer to use sprint reading or (timed) because I am interested on increase WPM with the enough comprehension.

3) I want to increase my comprehension of details (numbers).
1) I like to do a quick review after that I summarize some important ideas to understand the passage

3) I want to improve my inferences for the different passage and also increase my comprehension with less time
I used timer, I want to improve my reading speed and comprehension. I think it is very useful, when I timer, I can read faster than normal and my comprehension did not drop off. I will continue use this strategy. It is very effective for me.

ReplyDelete1) I used "Summary and Skimming" It helped me to understand the article because I should understand to summarize.
2) I think that it was effective because I used my summary in discussion.
3) I want to use Summary Strategy again and Sprint Reading too.
1) First read the title and look at the pictures. Than read the article.

1- I underline the main ideas and details.

3- I think that something different that I can do is to outline the passages. That is really helpful.
1) I took notes and I made a T chart.

3) I would use a timer and maybe I would try to just underline the main ideas.

3) I like this kind of excercise, because you strive to understand the main ideas of a reading passage.
1) I used graphic organizer to make sure which was cause and effect. For this reasons, I could catch main ideas more efficiently.

1) I try to remember some keywords or specific ideas, and then recall them and relate them to other ideas when reading following paragraphs.

3)I'd try to focus more on my reading lest be distracted.
1) I read the Title, subtitles and some cites of the article and try to be prepare what is the article about.
